Hey there.

Welcome to my farm kitchen.

Welcome to my farm kitchen. I’ve been down the blog path before, but my motivations changed over time. Now I’m back, this time with my heart in the right place. I love to cook, and I love to write – and this is a space that I can do both of those things. I am so excited to build a community in this space. If you are reading this, you are a part of my community and I am so thankful for you. I pray that this glimpse into my life gives you a smile, a laugh, or maybe just a little bit of hope. Thank you so much for being part of this community. There are plenty of ways that you can become more involved. Like my page on Facebook, join my email list, or send me a message. I can’t wait to hear from you!

Love, Gracie

Made from scratch food is my jam, but my Nespresso machine is my guilty pleasure.

My love language is food. I know that isn’t an option in Gary Chapman’s The Five Love Languages, but trust me, it is mine. I love to cook for the people I love. Cooking from scratch for the people you love is something that I have witnessed for my entire life. I grew up living the life of church potlucks, Sunday dinners, and home cooked tractor meals. Every influential woman in my life thrived in the kitchen and by the age of twelve, I was pretty comfortable in there as well.

Trying new recipes became my pastime, cleaning up my messes became my mother’s (Sorry mom! You are the best!). Some were phenomenal, some were flops, but every dish I made opened up my eyes a bit more to the joys of cooking.

They say that “the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach” and as a newlywed, I can vouch for that. I married my husband in June of 2023 and was introduced to a whole new world of cooking experiences. Suddenly I had my own farm kitchen and someone else to cook for every day and it is a JOY. (Although he may not agree when it comes to the number of kitchen towels and potholders that have been lost due to a few small kitchen fires.) All jokes aside though, this new season is such a sweet one and my recipe binder is growing thicker by the meal.

Being your stereotypical farmer’s daughter, my teen years were spent in FFA, 4-H and with a LOT of cows.

I’ve always counted growing up on a farm one of the greatest blessings I’ve ever received. When I’m not in the kitchen, you can find me feeding bucket calves on our family’s cattle operation. My life goals have always revolved around having a family, but my career goals fell on the side of farmer. Something that got me plenty of raised eyebrows in a world where everyone is fixated on making more money, climbing higher in the ranks, and becoming known. However, the heart wants what it wants, and mine desires nothing more than spending my days raising cattle (and all that comes with that) and caring for my family.

So this is me. Home cook. Farm Wife. Lover of cattle. Farmer’s Daughter. DIY Enthusiast. Welcome to my kitchen. It is an honor to have you here.
