Selecting oils for your fall essential oil blends

Spicy

I love to add a spicy scent to my fall blends.  They add a cozy feel to the scent and I love the reminder of baked goods I get when it wafts through my home.

Clove: This rich and spicy scent belongs in a fall blend.  When diffused it cleans and promotes immunity.

Anise Star:  This oil promotes immunity, supports awareness, and cleans.

Blends

Downtime: This blend is exclusive to Simply Earth.  It is made of a combination of Bergamot, Frankincense, Ho Wood, Lavender, & Marjoram.  It’s aroma is fruity and floral, and it has many benefits.  Downtime calms, centers, and promotes rest.

Homebody: This warm and woody blend is also specific to Simply Earth.  It is made up of Ho Wood, Amyris, Copaiba, & Vetiver.  Homebody calms and centers.

On Guard: On Guard is exclusive to doTERRA.  The blend is made up of wild orange, clove, cinnamon bark, eucalyptus, and rosemary.  This energizing and uplifting blend can promote immune health and be a powerful disinfectant.

Citrus

Orange: Orange essential oil promotes rest, uplifts, centers, and supports heart wellness.

Lemon: This sweet scent cleans, brightens, detoxifies, and eases seasonal discomfort.

Bergamot: This floral and citrusy oil calms, uplifts, and promotes immunity.

Fresh

Camphor:  This medicinal scent is known to improve both skin and joint health.  It also promotes respiration and deters insects.

Earthy

Dark Patchouli: This musky oil deodorizes, detoxifies, uplifts, and promotes rest.

Of course, you can use whatever oils you prefer for your fall essential oil blends, but these are my favorites!

My favorite fall essential oil blends

While I love my oils for their benefits, I also love that I am able to naturally fill our home with cozy scents.  Don’t get me wrong, I do have some natural candle companies that I love! However, a few drops of oil in a diffuser do just the same for MUCH less.

Thanksgiving Eve Blend

I love the cozy scent of baked goods on a chilly evening.  It always fills my mind with the image of a cozy kitchen filled with family, pies in the oven and the midwestern wind howling outside.  This blend also promotes rest and immunity, and centers.  The oils you will need are Orange, Anise Star, and Clove.

Sweet Orange – 4 drops

Anise Star – 2 drops

Clove – 1 drop

Rainy Day

Where I am from, fall usually consists of a few rainy days (which makes for quite a few grumpy farmers).  There is nothing I love more than a chilly rainy day to stay in and get some housework done.  This blend is made with Downtime and Dark Patchouli.

Falling Leaves

When you think of fall, you can’t deny that images of red, orange, and yellow leaves flit through your head.  A quintessential fall day is not complete without falling leaves.  To make this blend, you will need Orange, Clove, and Bergamot.

Campfire Nights

Around here, there’s not a ton to do (don’t get me wrong, I love where I live!).  That often leaves bonfires on chilly evenings as one of the few things to do.  While summer bonfires often get all of the glory, nothing compares to a fall bonfire complete with a warm sweatshirt and cozy blanket.  For this blend you will need Camphor and Homebody.

Sweet Fall

This blend is a little sweet, a little spicy, with just a hint of musk.  Who needs a $30 candle when you can make this blend all fall long?  To make this blend you will need Anise Star, Orange, and Dark Patchouli.

Germ Fighter

Fall is synonymous with back to school, and back to school often leads to a season of colds and illness.  Take a stand against those pesky germs with this blend.  To make it you will need On Guard, Lemon, and Camphor.

These are some of my absolute favorite essential oil blends.  Interested in Simply Earth Oils?  To get $10 off your first 5 boxes, use my code – GRACIES502
