This winter and fall simmer pot is perfect for the cozy months! Simply throw in your ingredients, snuggle up with a book, and enjoy!
What is a winter or fall simmer pot?
To make a simmer pot, simply throw several ingredients into a simmering pot of water and let it do the work for you! In minutes your house will smell like a festive holiday home. You can make crisp and fresh simmer pots in the spring and summer, but this recipe is perfect for winter and fall! Some of the starring ingredients are cloves, orange slices, and cranberries.

Why are simmer pots suddenly so popular?
Simmer pots have been used for centuries, but as of late, they have been skyrocketing in popularity. As consumers become more educated on the toxins that surround them every day, alternatives to some old favorites have begun to appear.
Candles are a staple in nearly every home. However, the household brands that we grew up with have been revealed to be more dangerous than we had ever imagined. While there are some non-toxic candle brands, they are often very expensive, and only found online. Simmer pots are a cheap and non-toxic alternative. Using ingredients you already have, you can fill your home with wonderful smells in less that 10 minutes.
Can I make winter and fall simmer pots at home?
Absolutely! Simmer pots are so easy to make at home. They also make the perfect homemade gift. This year, I gave some out for Christmas and they were a hit! Check out these adorable jars, perfect for gifting a simmer pot kit to someone you love!
